Three founders. Shuchi Jani Rao handles design and storytelling. Nikhil Kumar Rao handles finances and production. Sanket Kushnoor handles partnerships and vendor relationships. Nikhil and Shuchi are married to each other, Nikhil and Sanket have been friends from childhood, 27+ years.
All three founders are personally involved in every wedding - no handoff to an account manager once you sign. The same core team works on every wedding. The founders are also present on ground at your wedding along with our core team.
Your wedding is a big day for you and your families, and we want to give it the attention and detail it deserves. So we cap how many weddings we take on, so all three of us - design, production, partnerships - can stay directly involved in each one, instead of handing clients off to junior planners.
We give out 1–3 slots a month. Sometimes it's just 1 slot across several months, if a wedding is taking up more of our time - so it doesn't come at the cost of another client's experience.
Fully custom weddings - nothing repeated from a past event, no fixed theme picked off a shelf. We do a lot of cross-cultural and multi-ritual weddings: North Indian, South Indian, Sikh, Christian, and combinations of these. Every wedding is built around that couple's own story. We've done everything from a 30-person wedding to a 10,000-person wedding.
It's by choice. We get asked regularly to work in other cities and countries, and we say no - taking on weddings elsewhere would dilute our quality and attention to detail. Staying in one city means we can go see, meet, and inspect things in person, multiple times if needed, which gets very limited the moment you're doing it in another city.
